telnet - Key mapping for putty or putty alternative -

at work we're trying find replacement old telnet client use connect sco unix server running old program. have found can putty required - setting sco function keys lets me use f1 f12 correctly , setting translation character set cp437 draws lines correctly.

the problem program use on server pretty requires use of custom key mapping. need able map home key ";$", end key "exit^m", f-10 key ";}" etc. putty doesn't allow custom mapping. we've tried edit source code of putty change behaviour, had no luck.

does know if there modified version of putty somewhere allows key binding? or free terminal program does? or instructions change in putty source code? if can't find solution we're going end buying zoc, we'd rather not if can find open alternative.

never mind, in end able modify putty source code required add custom keys.
