i've been using ff4 week , have gmail inbox open in tab, have pinned "app tab". noticed when new email, tab light blue light, notifies visually have new unread email.
what api gmail using notify tab (window) unread emails?
firefox flashes app tab when page title changes.
gmail's title looks "gmail - inbox (5) - foo@gmail.com" '5' number of unread messages. when gmail sees new messages changes title accordingly, , causes app tab flash.
