i trying link database servers , noticed 1 named: test_host\test_database. when make link, can't query it. log in failure timeout. in area configuration remote , local connections enabled.
also sql server express won't allow me enter ip address.
so how link server?
alias. create on machine , worked. need tricky machines behind different domains.
