for example, test features have several users interacting. i've come multiple os x vm's ioss in each, seems sledgehammer missing obvious right in front of me?

afaict, not support multiple instances running @ same time.

i tried 2 methods, both failed.

$ open -n /developer/platforms/iphonesimulator.platform/developer/applications/iphone\ simulator.app lsopenurlswithrole() failed error -10829 file /developer/platforms/iphonesimulator.platform/developer/applications/iphone simulator.app. 

using alias (http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/71/860074) brings dailog box saying "only 1 ios simulator can run @ time. please quit ios simulator , try again."
