i've got site that's using sifr, , of replaced text being stretched vertically in ie9. it's happening in places text wraps 2 lines, , fixes when hover cursor on it. sifr text link, i'm not sure if has correlation.
i've tried various settings changes fitexactly, forceclear, , forcesingleline (though want able wrap), , didn't work. i've tried changing font-size, line-height, , other dimensions px instead of em. innerhtml isn't being used anywhere on page. it's frustrating works after being hovered on, not before.
and know you're thinking "use cufon or @font-face, dummy" i'm stuck sifr now. client wants client wants...
i've found solution, if try hover mouse cursor text display correct so..
i write few line of code put in sifr-config.js forcing flash reset "onreplacemment" callback when ie9 detected
you must use jquery browser detection or use javascript way
