nomenclature - What is the relation between GTK, GTK+ and GTK2? -

i'm confused gtk terminology. according wikipedia, there seem bindings gtk+ called gtk (gtkada) , gtk2 (gtk2hs, gtk2-perl).

could clear me?

gtk/gtk+ , gtk2 different versions of same api. gtk old, deprecated version, gtk2 previous one, gtk+ 3/gtk3 current version.

gtk+ correct name of old api, people call gtk.

the c++ bindings gtk+ part of project gtkmm.
