i see lot of xbap related questions posted here without answer. know silverlight , wpf (desktop) applications exists, don't remember seen 1 xbap product. can tell if xbap dead (no applications being developed/supported)? nice if xbap developers give opinion.
xbap ideal developing line of business apps large companies. used work in environment, , ensuring had correct version of app nightmare.
unfortunately xbap late party. companies have solved problem existing technologies (sms installers, click once etc), these companies aren't based , don't change/upgrade technologies unless have (the department used work in still use vs2003 , have no plans upgrade).
so, given glacial pace these departments adopt "new" technologies, , given reluctance change development practises, 5 or 10 years before write , deploy xbap application.
so rather being dead, think xbap has limited audience of late adopters.
